Granada to Launch New Comedy at MIPTV

LONDON, April 1: At next
week’s MIPTV, Granada International is launching Headcases, a new comedy series that takes a satirical look
at the worlds of celebrity and politics.

The CGI-animated series is
created in association with Red Vision, and features more than 60 characters
that range from household names to Hollywood A-listers and from politicians and
royals to sporting figures. Series creator Henry Naylor leads the writing team
for Headcases, which is produced by ITV Productions for ITV1.

Among those skewered in
the series are Amy Winehouse, David and Victoria Beckham, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Madonna
and Bono, as well as political figures like Gordon Brown, George Bush, Vladimir
Putin and Nicolas Sarkozy.
