Granada America Ramps Up Creative Team

LOS ANGELES, September 11: Granada America has announced the
appointments of American producers Michael Agbabian and Dwight D. Smith and
Australian producers David Barbour and Julian Cress to its non-scripted
programming team.

David Gyngell, the CEO of Granada America, commented, “These
guys are all proven hit makers and we are delighted to have them. As the
largest international supplier of programming to U.S. broadcast and cable
channels we are moving forward with an even more aggressive production slate
and Michael and Dwight along with David and Julian will play a significant role
in our future growth and success in this market.”

All four will serve as executive producers of non-scripted
programming. Smith and Agbabian have a successful track record with Granada
America having served as co-executive producers on Gameshow Marathon for CBS, as well as executive producers for Hit
Me Baby One More Time
for NBC. Barbour and
Cress are the creators and executive producers of several top-rated shows in
Australia including The Block.
The two new teams will be working closely with Granada America’s recently
appointed director of development, Nicholas Oakley.
