Granada America, Lifetime Align for Game Show Pilot

LOS ANGELES, February 6:
Granada America has secured a pilot deal with Lifetime Television for the game
show The Big Match, hosted by
British personality Cat Deeley.

The program, which is
based on a format by Granada America’s executive producers Michael Agbabian and
Dwight Smith (Phenomenon), is
an in-studio dating show where 100 single men vie for
a dream date with one woman through a series of compatibility challenges. The
Big Match format is also in
development at ITV Productions in the U.K. and will be distributed worldwide by
Granada International.

“Granada America has a
long-standing relationship with Lifetime as a provider of movies for television
and we are delighted to be able to expand our partnership into this new genre,”
said Granada America’s president and CEO, Paul Buccieri.
