Glam Media Rolls Out Platform for Video and Advertising

BRISBANE/NEW
YORK/CAMBRIDGE, May 29: The female-targeted digital-media outfit Glam Media has
launched GlamTV, a flagship video distribution and advertising platform for its
network of 500-plus websites and blogs, featuring content from companies like
E! Online, and has teamed with the Internet TV service Brightcove to distribute
ad-supported video content.

GlamTV is a service that
allows Glam to package its content with ads for hyper-targeted audiences using
Glam Media's Digital-Prime time technology. Media companies that have already
come on board as content providers at launch include E! Online, featuring E!

and Turner Broadcasting New Products Group's TheFrisky.com.

GlamTV aims to offer advertisers
the opportunity to deliver video ads on the web to a network of focused sites.
Agencies can use overlays, tightly packaged adjacent ad spots, co-roll, mid- or
pre-roll, sponsorships, advertorials and even full-page GlamTV Big Screen
takeovers. To ensure hyper-targeting, Glam Media is launching its proprietary
Glam Evolution for Video ad server, which offers agencies and brands services
targeted by prime time, placement, audience, content, categories, behavior and
brand engagement.

Through GlamTV, publishers
can create custom TV channels, video sections, personal playlists and embed
video players—creating new brand display and video ad inventory that
media partners and Glam can sell. The platform presents a range of options for
media companies, which include bundling content with advertising, offering new
advertising formats and advertorials, or using Glam brand and video ads. In
addition, Glam will also selectively offer GlamTV as a service to other
targeted vertical network publishers not in the Glam publisher network.

"With the launch of
GlamTV, we continue to execute on our vision of extending our distributed
vertical content network by providing video content and monetization
opportunities to publishers and offering media companies a new way to
distribute their content to Glam Media's Network of over 64 million
uniques," said Samir Arora, the chairman and CEO of Glam Media.
"GlamTV was one of the early dreams of the Glam founding team in its very
first business plan, and I am excited to see it grow from seed to idea to a
powerful platform and valuable service."

In a separate deal,
Brightcove’s customers will be able to distribute video content to Glam Media's
vertical content network of 500-plus web sites and blogs through GlamTV. Glam
Media's publishers can access premium, rights-cleared content that is tightly
packaged with brand advertising.

"Glam has amassed a
content network that reaches an audience that is key for brand building and
highly desirable to marketers," said Brightcove’s chairman and CEO, Jeremy Allaire. "The partnership with Glam will open the door to exciting new
distribution opportunities for our customers who can take advantage of the
additional reach while at the same time retaining control over their
advertising."
