BURBANK, December 13: Thomas Gewecke has been appointed president
of Warner Bros. Digital Distribution, where he will be responsible for
extending Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group’s digital strategy across
current and emerging platforms.

In his new role, Gewecke will report to and work closely with
Kevin Tsujihara, the president of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group. He is
given global responsibility for the strategic growth initiatives around all of
the home entertainment group’s assets, and will drive development and execution
of activities in the wireless, online, transactional VOD, PPV and
electronic-sell-through sectors. He will also be responsible for identifying
strategic partnerships and next generation distribution channels to open new
revenue streams.

Most recently, Gewecke served as executive VP of global digital
business for Sony BMG Music Entertainment, where he oversaw worldwide digital
business development efforts and headed the creation of new digital ventures.
He was a key member of the digital leadership team at Sony BMG, and was
integral to the evolution of the company’s digital distribution model.

“Thomas is a forward-thinking executive with a proven track record
of successful execution,” said Tsujihara. “He will provide innovative
leadership to a great team and we are very pleased to welcome him to Warner Bros.”

“The digital distribution team, under Kevin’s leadership, has
secured the company’s position at the head of the pack,” said Gewecke. “I look
forward to working with them to take full advantage of the opportunities
presented by the emerging digital marketplace.”
