Garin Extends Term at CME

HAMILTON, August 1: Central European Media Enterprises has
extended CEO Michael Garin’s contract for a further two years, to January 31,
2010.

Ronald Lauder, the chairman of CME, noted, “Michael and his
management team have delivered record results over last two and a half years.
Under his management CME strengthened its position as the leading broadcaster
in Central and Eastern Europe and significantly expanded its footprint. The
Board looks forward to working with Michael to build further upon CME's growth
strategy over the coming years."

Garin was appointed CEO in February 2004. Prior to that, he
served on the boards of several media and telecommunications companies. Between
1999 and 2001, he worked as president and COO of the Digital Convergence
Corporation, an Internet technology company. From 1988 to 1999, Garin worked
for ING Barings as EVP and global head of media, telecommunications and
information services investment banking. At Furman Selz, which was acquired by
ING, he was a member of the management committee. In 1978, he co-founded
Lorimar Telepictures, a diversified entertainment and communications company,
and helped run it until Warner Communications acquired the company in 1988.
