Galleon to Present New Reality Talent Show at MIPTV

LONDON, April 5: Galleon Holdings will offer up to international buyers at
MIPTV the first season of its multiplatform reality talent show Super Soccer Star, a co-production
with China’s Guangdong TV Sports
Channel and the U.K.’s
Chelsea Football Club.

The
13×30-minute Super Soccer Star is set to premiere on Monday, April 7, in China
on Guangdong TV, reaching a total of 50 million estimated viewers. In Super Soccer Star, soccer schools and coaches across the Guangdong province will
send their most promising players to the show to participate in the selection
process. Contestants are eliminated during the course of the 13-episode series;
one of the final episodes will be held in the Chelsea Football Club, leading to
the winner being granted a place to train at the Chelsea Academy.

The multiplatform program is expected to generate revenue from
numerous channels and activities, including sponsorship, advertising, mobile
phone participation, live events, online activities and branded merchandise.

One of the most popular clubs among Chinese soccer fans, Chelsea is already the official football development
partner of the Asian Football Confederation's Vision China
project, which aims to set up ten city leagues in China. Guangdong TV Sports Channel
is one of the official broadcasting partners to the FA Premier League (FAPL),
broadcasting FAPL games into China.

Galleon owns the Super
Soccer Star
show and format. Following the establishment of the
first series, Galleon will roll out the format and the brand to other provinces
in China and other countries
in Southeast Asia.

Super Soccer Star
is poised to become a national show in China
and in other territories in Southeast Asia,”
said Stephen Green, the CEO of Galleon Holdings. “This is an entertainment
format with
family appeal and many levels of engagement for the viewer. We’re delighted to
have the backing of a brand like Chelsea, one of the
most recognizable football brands in the world and one of the best-followed
clubs in China.
MIPTV gives us the perfect opportunity to forge relationships with
international and regional TV, online and mobile partners.”
