Galleon Greenlights Apollo’s Pad Production

LONDON, July 30: Galleon Entertainment has greenlit the
production of its new 26×5-minute music-based animated series Apollo’s Pad, geared to viewers aged 16 to 24.

The show, produced in association with Sony BMG, features
two minutes of gag-based comedy in each episode followed by an animated music
video that features a classic hit like the Monkees’ I’m a Believer re-recorded to reach a new audience. The episodes
are set in an animated live music venue, called Apollo’s Pad, where each
character is the personification of a music genre. The first six episodes are
now going into production for airing on TV and online. The launch of Apollo's
Pad
on apollospad.com, a content-rich
website that will provide streaming, premium downloads and user generated
content, is set for October 2007.

“There is a
huge demand for short-form entertainment as well as music video content,” said Stephen
Green, the CEO of Galleon Holdings. “Apollo's Pad, the perfect ‘comedy meets music’ animated property, offers multiple
time lengths depending on the platform.”
