Galleon Entertainment Takes Apollo's Pad to MIPTV

LONDON, April 9: Galleon
Entertainment is looking to secure online, mobile and TV broadcast deals for Apollo's
Pad
, its 52×5-minute multiplatform animated
series for 16- to 34-year-olds, at MIPTV.

Currently in production, Apollo's
Pad
is scheduled for launch online, on
mobile platforms and on the air this fall. Galleon Entertainment is also
launching Apollo's Pad on
apollospad.com, a website that will provide streaming, premium downloads and
user generated content.

Produced by London-based Good
Story Productions with animation from Canada-based Copernicus Studio, each episode
of the series is set in an animated live music venue called Apollo’s Pad, where
each character is the personification of a music genre. It features two minutes
of gag-based comedy followed by an animated music video that features a classic
hit re-recorded to reach a new audience. For example, the first episode will
feature the song “I'm a Believer,” by the Monkees. At MIPCOM 2006, Galleon
Entertainment had reached an exclusive agreement with Sony BMG Music
Entertainment in the U.K. to develop and launch Apollo's Pad. The series was created by Stephen Green, the CEO of
the company, and Len Dunne, Galleon’s MD.

Apollo's Pad has
multiple revenue streams and over time, it will extend into traditional
licensing and merchandising formats including apparel and gifting,” said Green.
“MIPTV gives us the perfect opportunity to forge relationships with TV, online
and mobile partners throughout the international and regional arenas.”
