FremantleMedia Takes on Swedish Game Show

STOCKHOLM, February 12: FremantleMedia has secured the
international rights to Metronome’s new game show Family Links, with plans to produce and roll out the format
worldwide, excluding Scandinavia.

Family Links is a
game show where the whole family competes to win their dream prizes. Each
family member represents a link and together they create a chain. As long as
they succeed in keeping the chain together, they remain in the game. However,
if one family member gives a wrong answer, the chain is broken and the family
loses the game.

“This is fantastic for Metronome, and serves as further
proof that we can successfully develop new creative formats for an
international market,” said Mats Alders, the CEO for Metronome Film &
Television. “The deal is also a part of Metronome's strategy to sell and
distribute our own formats through Friday TV.”

Family Links is an
important new game show for FremantleMedia, and a very welcome addition to our
existing game show catalogue,” added Rob
Clark, the senior executive VP of FremantleMedia. “The program meets the
current demand from broadcasters for accessible, simple, and humorous game
shows, with a significant element of audience play-along. With its flexible
format, we believe it will be hugely popular when we roll it out
internationally, it is a very exciting investment for us.”
