PARIS: The sixth annual Content 360 digital creativity festival at MIPTV, which is now open for entries, will include for the first time a category supported by FremantleMedia and RTL Group.

Content 360 is to be featured as part of Connected Creativity at this year’s MIPTV. Applicants have until February 14 to submit new ideas for interactive and digital entertainment formats, online and social games and smart phone and connected TV apps. FremantleMedia, along with its parent company RTL Group, joins the competition, looking to identify an individual or comedy in the digital space with which to develop, produce and distribute a global digital entertainment format. The winner will be offered a 10,000 euro contract to co-develop their idea further.

The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) is looking for proposals for "Smart Phone App for Youth Engagement" for its documentaries Sexy Inc. and Staying Real. The winning entry will receive a 12,000 euro development contract.

This year, the competition also includes independent categories for online and social games and rich media apps. Finalists for all categories will be announced by February 23 and will be invited to present their ideas at MIPTV, held from April 4 to 7. The competition winners will be announced on April 6 during a ceremony in Cannes.

“This year’s Content 360 competition reflects the growing importance to the media industry of new forms of audience engagement across connected devices. As part of new Connected Creativity event at MIPTV, we are delighted to be able to provide an expanded international platform to stimulate digital creativity and business partnerships,” said MIPTV’s director of digital media, Ted Baracos.
