FremantleMedia Closes Asian Deals

SINGAPORE, November 29:
FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has licensed 1,200 hours of programming to
broadcasters in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.

Among the new titles
licensed into the region are Essence of Emeril, featuring chef Emeril Lagasse, and the Bunim
Murray reality series Murder,
as well as returning titles like the Martha Stewart portfolio of shows, The Janice Dickinson
Modelling Agency
and American
Idol
.

ABS CBN Creative Networks
in the Philippines bagged 446 hours, including Sundance Channel’s Iconoclasts seasons 1 and 2 and the sixth season of the
American version of The Apprentice.

UBC Cineplex in Thailand
scored Big Ideas for a Small Planet and Gamekillers, while
Malaysia’s Media Prima took Project Runway season four and the Janice Dickinson Modelling Agency season three.

Among the British
productions recently licensed into Asia are The BRIT Awards 2008, Bringing Up Baby, Fat Man’s Warning and offerings from the Nigel Marven and Jamie Oliver catalogs.
