Fremantle UK Taps BBC Studios as People Director

Fremantle UK has appointed BBC Studios alum Lisa Hardy to the newly created position of people director, effective in March.

Hardy joins from BBC Studios, where she has played a central role in shaping culture across a large and diverse workforce, bringing teams together around shared creative and business goals.

At Fremantle UK, Hardy will lead the people and culture agenda, working closely with producers and teams across the business to embed inclusive practives into everyday ways of working, strengthen representation both on- and off-screen and further foster a collaborative creative community.

“I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Fremantle UK—a business whose creativity, ambition and scale I’ve long admired,” Hardy said. “Fremantle UK’s commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative and high‑performing culture really resonates with me, and I look forward to partnering with Amelia Brown and the wider team to help talent thrive both on- and off-screen. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved at BBC Studios, and I’m thrilled to be bringing that experience into this next chapter.”

“Lisa is hugely respected across the industry, and I’ve long admired the outstanding work she has delivered at BBC Studios,” added Brown, CEO of Fremantle UK. “She is a dynamic leader who builds inclusive cultures and brings real clarity of vision to people strategy. Her values and ethics align closely with ours at Fremantle UK. I’m absolutely delighted she’s joining us to help shape the next chapter of our people at Fremantle UK.”
