Among a number of new senior appointments at Turner in EMEA, former France Télévisions exec Julien Borde has been named head of channels for kids and general entertainment.

Meanwhile, Jaime Ondarza, senior VP for Southern Europe and Africa, is taking on operational responsibility as general manager. In addition, Guillaume Coffin has been elevated to VP, head of commercial and business development for France, French-speaking territories, Africa and Israel.

In his newly created role, Borde will oversee all editorial activity for Turner’s kids’ and general-entertainment brands, including content, marketing, communication and digital media. Before joining the company, he was managing director for digital services programming at France Télévisions.

Ondarza commented: “Julien has a long track record in the area of kids’ and entertainment programming, with proven competence in content production, programming, acquisition, digital media and marketing. I am delighted to welcome Julien to our editorial team.”

Coffin will manage all sales activities for the group in the region, including channel distribution, advertising, content sales and digital media income. He had previously been serving as Turner’s director of sales and business development and, before that, director of distribution.

“Guillaume has done fantastic work in sales for Turner; he has a strong reputation in the market and possesses strong strategic and negotiating skills,” added Ondarza. “I am thrilled that he has accepted this new responsibility.”
