France 24 Scores Mobile Carriage in Brazil

PARIS: The Brazilian mobile operator TIM has added the French-language France 24 service to its offerings.

The 300,000 subscribers of the TIM TV offer now gain free access to France 24 throughout all Brazilian states. The moves comes as part of France 24’s expansion plans for Latin America, where the service is available on free-to-air in South America on Intelsat 9 and CablePlus in Uruguay.

Philippe Rouxel, France 24’s VP of worldwide distribution, said: "This agreement with TIM BRASIL is another major step towards a wider presence in Latin America. TIM BRASIL is a major mobile operator through whom we hope to enhance our expansion throughout the region."
