France 24 Expands Distribution in Italy

PARIS, June 6: The French
international news channel France 24 will now be available on digital
terrestrial television in Italy via broadcaster Telecentro Toscana.

Alain de Pouzilhac, the
chairman of the management board of France 24, will sign an agreement authorizing
the distribution of the channel through the Italian broadcaster. The channel
will be broadcast in the main urban centers in Italy, excluding Sicily and
Sardinia, and will reach approximately 2.6 million households. This agreement
further expands the distribution of France 24 in Italy, where it is already
available to 4 million households on satellite via Sky Italia and free-to-air
on Hot Bird and Astra 1. Just six months after its launch, France 24 will be
broadcasting to a total of 7.6 million Italians. With the new agreement, 56
percent of Italians in possession of a digital terrestrial decoder will be able
to receive France 24 in French.

France 24 is
the first French international news channel that offers a French perspective
and sensibility on world events. France 24 broadcasts on a 24/7 basis on three

on the east coast of the United States.
France 24 can be accessed by all media platforms: cable, satellite and
