Foxtel Arranges Disney Deal

SYDNEY: Foxtel and The Walt Disney Company Australia have inked a new agreement that will see Disney Channel become available to all subscribers as part of the Foxtel Essentials pack.

Disney Channel as well as the companion preschool network Disney Junior will be included on Foxtel Go, an app that allows viewers to watch Foxtel channels live, along with a range of catch-up TV and On Demand movies. The agreement also sees new Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Disney-Pixar and Marvel titles joining the Foxtel Movies offering.

Richard Freudenstein, Foxtel’s chief executive, said: “With this new agreement, Foxtel will become the home of Disney in Australia. The addition of Disney Channel to our Essentials pack offering is a huge value-add for our customers, and we are thrilled to welcome a great lineup of premiere Disney films to our new and invigorated Foxtel Movies service.”
