Fox Reality, Sky One, Talent Announce New Reality Venture

LONDON, September 15: Fox Reality in the U.S. is teaming
with Sky One and Talent Television in the U.K. for a new reality series that
will chronicle entertainment producers Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick as they
work to set up their own vineyard.

Talent will produce the tentatively titled Corkscrewed:
The Wrath of Grapes
in association with
Magic Pictures Inc. in Los Angeles. It will air on Fox Reality as an
8×30-minute series, while Sky will broadcast it as four one-hour episodes.

Lythgoe and Warwick recently purchased a 168-acre vineyard
in Paso Robles, California. They are childhood friends who worked together on American
Idol
. Lythgoe is currently executive
producer and a judge on FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance, and Warwick was executive producer of NBC’s America’s
Got Talent
.

“The landscape of reality television has truly been shaped
by these two pioneers, and we’re thrilled that they selected our network when
they ventured into becoming the subjects of their own show,” said David Lyle,
Fox Reality’s COO and GM. “We think reality fans will love the opportunity to
watch what happens when the tables are turned.”

Richard Woolfe, the director of programming at Sky One,
added, "Nigel and Kenny are going to get some of their own TV reality
medicine as we turn the cameras on them as they try and turn a vineyard
nightmare into a dream vintage claret. Will they do it? Who knows, but we’ll
enjoy the ride with them."

The show launches on Fox Reality on November 22, before
rolling out on Sky One next spring.
