Former Lionsgate Exec Joins Moving Pictures

 LOS ANGELES: Romy Ricart, who previously served as coordinator of international business development at Lionsgate International, has joined the worldwide sales team of Moving Pictures Film & Television.

As an international sales executive, Ricart will concentrate on direct sales of the company’s 600 hours of film and TV programming, a catalogue offering that recently incorporated Bennett Media Worldwide’s lifestyle TV content and Victory’s classic film titles. She will focus on selling rights to TV and DVD buyers in German-speaking territories, Eastern and Central Europe and Asia, as well as management of Moving Pictures’ contract administration department.

 

For the past year, she has served as international sales representative for Peak Global Entertainment of Los Angeles, mainly responsible for sales in German-speaking Europe, Latin America and Asia. Prior to that, she was coordinator of international business development at Lionsgate International, focused on acquiring 300 hours of programming for new pay-TV channels in Asia in 2007 to 2009. She also was co-producer and second unit director of Lionsgate Films/Route Six Productions’ Route 666 feature in 2000.
