LONDON: Food Network continues its international expansion with a new launch on MultiChoice in Africa, available to 3 million subscribers.

The 24-hour service joins the DStv Premium and DStv Compact bouquets. Nick Thorogood, the managing director of Food Network EMEA, commented: “The introduction of Food Network to African viewers represents one of our biggest launches yet and a significant step in our expansion across EMEA. We are confident viewers in this territory will be as excited about our content as are millions of viewers in other international markets.”

Aletta Alberts, MultiChoice’s general manager of content, added: "We know South Africans and our subscribers love food and watching food channels. MultiChoice is very happy to reintroduce a 24-hour food channel on the DStv platform. As we are heading into the festive season, we are especially delighted to give our subscribers this gift of a dedicated food channel to help them to prepare their festive season feasts."
