FME Ups Alfandary

LONDON, January 31:
FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) and FremantleMedia Latin America (FMLA) have
promoted Jack Alfandary to the role of senior VP of licensing and new business
development.

In his time as the VP of
the division, Alfandary pursued sponsorship, licensing and digital activity
throughout Latin America and Spanish-speaking U.S. for brands such as American
Idol
, The Apprentice, The Price Is Right, Family Feud and local versions of the Idols format: Latin American Idol and Idolos Brazil.

In his new role, he will
continue his duties with Latin American Idol and Idolos Brazil, as part of an effort to clearly integrate on-air
sponsors within program content, and will also look to grow sponsorship
opportunities for the Spanish version of Family Feud (Que Dice la Gente).

Alfandary is
based in Miami and reports to Carlos
Gonzalez, the managing director of Latin America and Spanish-speaking U.S. for
Fremantle Productions Latin America and Keith Hindle, the executive VP of
FremantleMedia Enterprises Licensing Americas.

Gonzalez commented: “Jack
has been instrumental in FremantleMedia’s rapid growth within Latin America and
will continue to be a force as our current program brands mature and we look to
integrate more content into this territory.”

Hindle added: “The Latin
America and Spanish-speaking USA markets are vital to our growth and Jack has
firmly rooted the FME program brands within the landscape. He has created
successful ancillary businesses for our top brands by identifying the specific
needs of the region.”
