FME Sells The BRIT Awards

 LONDON: FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has signed on a number of international broadcasters for The BRIT Awards 2010, which will air live on ITV on February 16. 

The two-hour event, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, has been sold to Turner in a pan-regional Latin American deal, Middle Eastern pan-regional broadcaster MBC, XYZ in Australia, TV2 in Denmark, ITC in Iceland, Turner Broadcasting in Spain, Brunei’s RTB and PT Indosiar in Indonesia, among others. 

The event takes place on February 16 at London’s Earls Court Arena in front of a live audience of 11,000. This year’s performers include Jay Z, Cheryl Cole, Lily Allen, Lady Gaga, Kasabian, JLS and Robbie Williams. British comedian Peter Kay will host the awards.
