Five Bolsters Entertainment Lineup

LONDON: Five has revealed some of the highlights of its entertainment slate for the upcoming season, including its version of Farmer Wants a Wife, fronted by Louise Redknapp, as well as series with Robson Green and Ross Noble.

“I’m delighted with the brilliant, new entertainment line-up for Five," said Richard Woolfe, Five’s channel controller. "We have secured many household names for gripping, new and returning series, and there’s plenty more to come.”

The six-part Farmer Wants a Wife, from TalkbackTHAMES, will see lovelorn farmers looking for mates. The host, Redknapp, has presented such series as The Clothes Show, Royal Ascot and Soccer Aid. She also fronted the observational documentary The Truth About Size Zero.

Also on the slate is Ross Noble’s Aussie Trip, a 6×1-hour show from Stunt Baby Productions that follows Noble’s 60-date Australian Outback tour on his motorbike. Extreme Fishing III with Robson Green: The World Tour is a 12×1-hour series for broadcast in early 2010 chronicling the actor’s travels over four months, covering more than 60,000 miles in 14 different countries including India, Japan, Sri Lanka, Mexico and Brazil.
