Fireworks Inks Licensing Deals for Variety of Kids’ Shows

LONDON, June 27: The U.K.
distribution company, Fireworks International, has closed a series of sales
from its expanding catalogue of children’s programming.

Black Hole High is based on the strange events occurring in Black
Holsey High, and all four seasons of the children’s live-action series have
been sold to The Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Euro TV has also picked
up the series for France and French-speaking Europe and Africa. Season
4—the grand finale—has also been licensed to Buena Vista
International for its channels in Latin America, Asia, Australia and New
Zealand. Jetix Europe also acquired Season 4 for its channels in the U.K.,
Spain, Scandinavia, the Netherlands and Israel.

Even Stevens, has been re-licensed by RTE Ireland and Buena
Vista International. Ocean Star: The Quest, an adventure series
involving two big-city kids who embark on an exciting journey to find a rare
pearl worth a king’s ransom, has been licensed by Gama Taktik for RTM in
Malaysia, and Chuck Finn, featuring the adventures of Chuck, his gang, and two
fun-loving ghosts, has been acquired by Ambang Entertainment Sdn Bhd for
Brunei.
