Film Movement Launches Film Festival VOD Channel

NEW YORK, November 6: Film Movement, a North American film
distributor of first-run independent and foreign films, has launched the Film
Festival Channel (FFC), a free, ad-supported VOD movie channel that is
sponsored by Stella Artois and will be available in more than 5 million U.S.
households.

The Film Festival Channel will be carried on Cox, Verizon
FiOS TV, Comcast Washington State Market, Mediacom, Armstrong and Bresnan
Communications.

The Film Festival Channel features independent and foreign
films from festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Toronto, Berlin, Sundance, SXSW
and Tribeca. Film Movement currently has a catalogue of more than 100 films.

Every month, the channel will present four feature-length
and four short films. This 10-hour package will have a refresh rate of 50
percent, with early titles to include Alexandra’s Project from Australia, the winner of four awards, including
the Australian Film Critics Circle Award for Best Screenplay and also an
Official Selection at the Telluride, Toronto and Berlin International Film
Festivals; Hawaii, Oslo
from Norway, a winner at the Norwegian Film
Festival and the Amanda Awards, the Norwegian Oscar; and The Middle
of the World
from Brazil, an Official
Selection at the Toronto, San Sebastian, Seattle and San Francisco
International Film Festivals.

Launched in 2003, the New York City-based Film Movement has
released more than 100 feature and shorts from 27 countries on six continents.
Film Movement releases its films through distribution channels that include
theatrical, non-theatrical, home video, television outlets such as Sundance
Channel, IFC and Showtime and also in- flight entertainment on Continental
Airlines.
