FIC Debuts Web Community

LOS ANGELES, August 18:
Fox International Channels (FIC) has launched Biensimple.com, a wiki-based
community for Latinos looking for advice on a range of topics including health,
relationships, money, beauty and technology.

The website is based on
information from experts in Latin America and Spain and provides step-by-step
tutorial videos, interactive message boards, blogging capabilities and the
ability for users to publish their own solutions. The site also features a
catalogue of recipes, decorating tips, green-living guides, as well as information
regarding the latest in dieting and exercise. Biensimple.com is the first in a
series of web-based destinations catering to the Spanish-speaking audience to
be launched by FIC.

“Biensimple.com was born
out of the idea of taking valuable advice and knowledge from a collective group
of individuals and sharing it for the greater good of the community,” said
Hector Costa, the senior VP and managing director of .FOX Networks Americas.
“Biensimple’s content has a natural affinity with U.S. Hispanics’ inclination
towards finding their own solutions to everyday problems. This in turn creates
the perfect environment where advertisers can reach the rapidly growing online
U.S. Hispanic audience, leveraging .FOX Network’s proven track record with
Brandformance and online video.”
