NEW YORK: The horror, thriller and suspense movie network FEARnet has been added to Verizon FiOS TV’s Extreme and Ultimate packages.

The channel is already available on FiOS TV Video on Demand. The movie network is from Sony Pictures Television, Lionsgate and Comcast.

"As we add more and more programming to our FiOS TV lineup, we look for channels like FEARnet that help fill a specific genre," said Terry Denson, the VP of content strategy and acquisition for Verizon. "Making FEARnet available as a linear channel, in addition to our already existing VOD programming, means that our customers will have greater access to this exciting lineup of horror movies."

Peter Block, the president and general manager of FEARnet, added, "We’re excited to make FEARnet’s unrivaled modern thriller, suspense and horror library available on Verizon FiOS TV. This new linear channel will extend FEARnet’s broad devoted fan base of 26 million VOD household subscribers, offering consumers the best titles in the genre and making FEARnet a true multiplatform network."
