Expanded Spanish Presence for Al Jazeera

DOHA: Al Jazeera English has added another 1 million subscribers to its Spanish distribution base after closing a carriage deal with leading cable platform ONO.

The international news network is being added to ONO’s TV Esencial package. This adds to existing distribution on Digital+, Orange, Movistar Imagenio and R.

“We’re delighted to be celebrating our launch on ONO and to be able to provide Al Jazeera English to a sizeable new audience in this important market," said Martin Ryan, Al Jazeera’s head of distribution for the region.
