Expanded Role for Warner Bros.’s Josh Berger

MADRID/LONDON/BURBANK: Josh Berger, the president and managing director for the U.K. and Ireland at Warner Bros., is to add oversight of the studio’s Spanish operations to his remit.

Berger will assume the role of president and managing director for Warner Bros. Entertainment Spain, effective December 1, adding to his responsibilities for the U.K. and Ireland, which he has overseen since 2002. He reports to Barry Meyer, the studio’s chairman and CEO, and Alan Horn, president and COO, through Richard Fox, the executive VP of international. Berger will work closely with the local executives at Warner Bros.’s operations in Spain—Warner Bros. Pictures International, Warner Home Video, Warner Bros. Digital Distribution, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution and Warner Bros. Consumer Products—to devise a strategy for growing the business. He is a former managing director for Warner Bros. International Television Distribution in Spain and Portugal.

“Josh is particularly well placed to take on this new role,” said Meyer. “He established the country management role seven years ago with such success that we now have a country manager in six major international territories. This expanded position is recognition of his achievements in the U.K. and his in-depth knowledge and experience of the enormously important Spanish market.”
