Eurocinema to Launch on DIRECTV

LOS ANGELES, July 30: The
movie-on-demand service Eurocinema, which features European and other
international films, will make its debut on the DIRECTV-on-Demand platform
beginning August 1.

Eurocinema features a
combination of movies, with works by renowned directors and luminaries of the
international film world, never before seen in the U.S. Titles set to debut
this summer include Summer ’04 from
Germany, A tout de suite from
France and My Brother is an Only Child from Italy.

"We’re delighted to
launch on the DIRECTV-on-Demand platform, which offers its millions of
customers access to more than 4,000 on-demand titles," said Sebastien
Perioche, the chairman and CEO of EuroMedia Holdings Corp., the parent of
Eurocinema. "Thanks to mainstream industry and consumer recognition of
their quality, as well as the tremendous surge in immigrant communities across
the country, foreign films are enjoying a renaissance in the U.S. This launch
provides an ideal platform to reach these communities by greatly expanding our
brand beyond the realm of cable television."

"DIRECTV is committed
to delivering the most robust programming lineup available, and with the
Eurocinema’s unique product offering, we will be able to provide even more
value to on-demand customers nationwide," commented Todd Matthers, the VP
and associate general counsel of DIRECTV.
