ETV to Trial IPTV in Thailand

BANGKOK, June 15: ETV, which offers up sports and
entertainment content over broadband, has begun a trial of its IPTV service in
Thailand with a view to expanding across the region late this year and early
next.

Working with Media Partners International, ETV will be
deploying its ETV On Demand platform to an initial 1,000 people in Thailand,
expanding to 10,000 across the country. The trial will last for 90 days, with a
view to launching the full service in the third quarter. MPI expects to add
50,000 to 100,000 users per month once the service begins it is full
deployment.

MPI and ETV hope to take the service to other
Southeast Asian markets, as well as to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mainland China and
India, later this year or early next, tapping a potential audience of 600
million.
