Eric McCormack to Star in New TNT Drama Pilot

ATLANTA: Former Will & Grace star Eric McCormack has been cast in the lead role of TNT’s new dramatic pilot Perception (working title), produced by ABC Studios.

The pilot is executive produced by Kenneth Biller (Smallville) and co-executive produced by Mike Sussman (Star Trek: Voyager). McCormack will also act as producer on Perception, which tells the story of an eccentric neuroscientist who uses his unique outlook to help the federal government solve complex cases.

"Eric McCormack is an intelligent, intuitive and versatile actor who is adept at both comedy and drama," said Michael Wright, the executive VP and head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies (TCM). "We’re very excited to work with him again and can’t wait to see what he brings to the fascinating character of Dr. Geoffrey Pierce."
