Endemol Worldwide Distribution Makes New Hire, Promotion

LONDON: Matt Creasey has been upped to senior VP of acquisitions and sales for North America at Endemol Worldwide Distribution, while Mark Lawrence has been appointed executive director for Europe. 

Based in Los Angeles, Creasey was previously the executive director for the Americas, Asia and Australia/New Zealand, a role he’s held since September 2009. Before this he was the director of sales for Endemol International. Creasey continues his current responsibilities for selling Endemol-produced and third-party finished programs into Norther America and managing the sales teams for Latin America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. He takes on added oversight for Endemol’s finished programming portfolio in North America, identifying and securing distribution rights to single titles and libraries across the genres of drama, comedy, reality, entertainment and children’s. 

Lawrence, based in London, will oversee the European sales team in addition to building channel opportunities for the Endemol-owned and -represented catalogue. He will also assist in the assessment of third-party scripted product acquired by Endemol. Lawrence’s previous experience includes working as the head of acquisitions at Granada Media Group, the director of acquisitions at Hallmark Channels and, most recently, the director of global acquisitions at NBCUniversal International Channels. 

Both Creasey and Lawrence report to Cathy Payne, the chief executive of Endemol Worldwide Distribution.
