Endemol USA Pacts with MLB for Web Series

LOS ANGELES: Endemol USA is to co-develop and produce a live interactive web series in partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB) and marketing agency Hill Holliday.

The online experience will include a casting call for a dream job in Major League Baseball. The call is out for someone who has a vast knowledge of the entire league, an engaging personality, a unique writing style and voice, a sense of humor and is comfortable in front of the camera, and loves baseball. The winner will move to New York to watch every MLB game over the course of the entire baseball season and blog opinions, interact with fans through social media and appear in video blogs, baseball-themed webisodes, on TV and more.

Endemol USA will produce the webisode, which will go out on MLB.com and be shared through social media outlets.

David Armour, the VP of digital media at Endemol USA, said, “This is much more than a web series, this is a longer term commitment. We’re creating a full community with lots of interactivity.”
