Endemol Clinches Further Key Deals on Wipeout

HILVERSUM, August 21: Endemol has now licensed its new hit format
Wipeout into 17 countries, closing deals with BBC One in the U.K., Spain’s Telecinco,
RTL 4 in the Netherlands and Channel 10 in Israel.

All four broadcasters will run their series in prime-time
slots in either late 2008 or early 2009. The new batch of agreements follows
recent pickups by ProSieben in Germany, MBC in the Middle East and Nine Network
in Australia.

The obstacle-course format has already been picked up for a
second season on ABC in the U.S., where it ruled the 18 to 49 demo this summer.
The American version is also delivering top ratings for Nine in Australia.

Annelies Noest, the director of sales at Endemol
International, commented: “The speed with which Wipeout has been selling globally is quite phenomenal. Its
success in the U.S. and Australia has intensified the rush to acquire the
format and this international rollout looks set to continue.”

The BBC One version of Wipeout is being produced by the Endemol U.K. subsidiary Initial, Telecinco’s
version is being produced by Endemol Spain, RTL 4’s series will be made by
Endemol Netherlands and Channel 10 will be in charge of the Israeli production.
All will be located at Endemol’s newly built international set for Wipeout in Argentina.
