Endemol Chile Gets New MD

HILVERSUM: Eduardo Tironi Fontaine has been appointed managing director of Endemol Chile, joining from a role at TVN as manager of foreign programming. 

Fontaine has more than 15 years of experience in the TV sector, including a four-year stint as manager of program development at Canal 13, during which time the channel achieved a 30-percent growth in audience and 28-percent growth in global sales. At TVN, he put together the channel’s schedule of hit TV formats, telenovelas, feature films and animation, including The Successful Mr. and Mrs. Pells, Victoria, Todos a Coro and a raft of U.S. programming.

Marco Bassetti, the COO of Endemol Group, commented: “Eduardo is a highly skilled executive with a profound knowledge and understanding of the Chilean TV market. His career has seen him deliver substantial growth to leading broadcasters in Chile and he will be a great asset to Endemol as we further build our local presence.”
