Electric Sky Reports Post-DISCOP Deals

BRIGHTON, July 31: British
factual distributor Electric Sky has struck new deals on a host of lifestyle,
travel and wildlife titles following its outing to DISCOP.

The Meaning of Food (3×1 hour) by U.S. producer Pie In the Sky and Take
Away My Takeaway
(10×30 minutes)
from British producer Prospect Pictures were bought by Hungary-based cable and
satellite channel TV Paprika. Take Away My Takeaway has also been sold to TVBI in Asia and Ananey in
Israel.

From its wildlife
catalogue Electric Sky has sold Cuttlefish: The Brainy Bunch (1×52 minutes) to CBC Canada, TV2 Denmark and Pan
Universe China. Michael Hoff’s Shark Attack’s The Red Triangle has sold to Bahry TV in the Middle East, Canal+ of
Poland, Pan Universe China and Planete No Limit in France. Adventures in
Doggie Daycare
has also been sold
to the French channel.

The Spanish network TV3
Catalunya has acquired Secrets of Southern Australia (1×52 minutes) and Nepal: Journey’s to the Roof
of the World
(1×42 minutes).

DBS in Israel has bought
the one-hour special Model Prisoners and the 47-minute Death Leap. Australia’s ABC2 has licensed Battle Centre as well as Baby Be Mine, a BBC production that also sold to Spain,
Belgium, Poland, Finland, New Zealand and Denmark. In addition, the six-part
series Troy’s Story sold to
Italy’s Digital Factor (Moto TV) and the U.S. DVD distributor New Video, and
Viasat picked up a package of specials, including Antibiotic Kill Or Cure.
