What are your top properties for MIPTV?
OOOHHHASIS (CAKE Entertainment & TeamTo – 78 x 7’) is the newest property to our catalogue and follows the daily challenges of Oscar, a curious and energetic lizard, and the trio of misfits that live just around the corner from him, Harchi, Popy and Buck. There is never a dull moment in the middle of the dessert as Oscar and his friends spend their time looking for adventure and overcoming the daily perils they encounter along the way.
Dead Gorgeous (Coolabi Productions Ltd & Burberry Productions Pty Ltd – 26 x 22’) is a live action series following the comical adventures of three beautiful, strong willed teenaged sisters… who just so happen to be ghosts! It is a fish out of water comedy about three 19th century ghosts trying to make sense of the 21st century and survive amongst the living without being discovered.
Angelo Rules (CAKE Entertainment & TeamTo – 78 x 7’) is about 12-year-old Angelo, who aims to control his life using elaborate comic strategies based on his observations of human behaviour. With the help of his two friends, Lola and Sherwood, Angelo is able to sweet talk and overcome his adversaries. Angelo Rules is based on the French Comment Faire Enrager books written by Sylvie de Mathuisieulx and illustrated by Sebastien Diologent.
Total Drama World Tour (Fresh TV – 27 x 30’ and a 1 x 60’ bridging special) follows the success of Total Drama Island and Total Drama Action. Fifteen lucky contestants are in for one more round of drama, and this time it’s worldwide! They’ll sing, dance, and battle it out in outrageous challenges set all around the globe. In the end only one contestant will emerge victorious in the most dramatic finish in Total Drama History!
Stoked (Fresh TV – 26 x 30’) builds on the hugely successful Total Drama Island. It is a character-driven animated sitcom about six teenagers who come together one summer to work (and surf!) at the world renowned Surfer’s Paradise Resort – home of the most epic surf break in the country.

Why will these programs appeal to buyers?
Each show is very different from the other. These are five interesting programs that tick the boxes of what we look for when we take on a property: strong characters, engaging story, and an impressive design, look and feel. We’re always looking for those properties that will resonate with client’s audiences worldwide, so having an international feel and humour is very important.

What are your goals and expectations for MIPTV?
It’s business as usual this year at MIP – we’ll be meeting with current and prospective clients and presenting our new shows along with the rest of our catalogue. We need to get ourselves in front of clients four or five times a year so this market, though drawing a smaller crowd to MIPCOM, is a key part of this.
