E4 to Air U.S. Comedy Happy Endings

LONDON: In a deal with The Walt Disney Company, E4 has picked up the U.K. broadcast rights to Happy Endings, starring Elisha Cuthbert and Zachary Knighton.

Produced by ABC Studios, the show debuted on ABC in April, and a second season has already been ordered. Happy Endings makes its way to E4 in September, and the show’s second season will also air in the U.K.

Gill Hay, the head of acquisitions at Channel 4, said: "This show is a lot of fun and will slip perfectly into E4’s lineup of smart and fast-paced ensemble comedies. We very much look forward to launching the show and it becoming at home on E4." 
 
Catherine Powell, the senior VP and general manager of media distribution at The Walt Disney Company EMEA, added: “Happy Endings’ modern take on the universal themes of love and friendship, led by its sparky cast, has been well-received by buyers, and we’re looking forward to working with Channel 4 to launch it to U.K. audiences.”
