E! True Hollywood Story Heads into Syndication

NEW YORK: The E! Entertainment pop-culture series True Hollywood Story (THS) is to launch this fall as a syndicated weekday strip, and Debmar-Mercury has cleared more than 180 hour-long episodes on the Fox, CBS, Weigel, Sunbeam, Capitol, Scripps, Raycom and Landmark station groups.

The clearances account for more than 65 percent of the U.S. Each episode of THS features in-depth interviews, rare celebrity footage and behind-the-scenes insight into the lives of various Hollywood stars. The series’ history spans more than a decade on cable.

“Stations are looking for versatile brands like True Hollywood Story that have consistently proven themselves across multiple dayparts,” said Mort Marcus, co-president of Debmar-Mercury.

Ira Bernstein, Debmar-Mercury’s co-president, added: “Celebrity-driven programming works throughout the day and attracts the key female demos coveted by advertisers.”
