Dubuc to Succeed Davids at History Channel

NEW YORK, December 12: After more than two decades at
A&E Television Networks, Dan Davids is stepping down as the head of The
History Channel in the U.S. Nancy Dubuc has been tapped to lead the network as
EVP and general manager.

Davids leaves the company on December 31. He has been
president of The History Channel—USA since 2004. He joined AETN in 1984,
overseeing planning, programming, consumer marketing and brand development at
The History Channel, History International and THC en Espanol. He became EVP
and GM at The History Channel in 2002, following two years in the same position
at A&E Network. No reason was given for his departure.

In her new role, Dubuc will be responsible for The History
Channel’s strategic planning, programming, consumer marketing, and brand
development. Dubuc will also oversee History International, The History Channel
en español and Military History Channel. She
has served as SVP of non-fiction programming and new media content at AETN
since June of this year. She was previously SVP of programming at A&E
Network. Dubuc joined A&E in 2003.
