Dori Adds New Broadcasters for Split

TEL AVIV: The teen vampire daily drama Split has been sold by Dori Media Group into a number of new territories, including France, Germany and Hungary.

Originally produced by Dori Media Darset for Israeli cable platform HOT’s VOD service, Split has been sold into eight countries within six months of its launch. Further territories set to air the series are Africa (French and English), Austria, Belgium (French-speaking only), Israel, Italy and Switzerland (French and German only). Split centers on 15-year-old Ella, who is part of the age-old conflict between vampires and humans.

Nadav Palti, the president & CEO of Dori Media Group, commented: "We are delighted to announce the sale of Split to even more territories. Dori Media Group’s aim is to produce products with story lines that break boundaries, through clever casting and advanced shooting techniques. We are pleased to learn that Split meets all these characteristics, which makes it suitable for teenagers in different countries around the world. We also try to foresee the leading trends in the world and follow them, as we did with Split, which deals with the hottest current trend among youngsters—vampires."

Karni Ziv, the VP of content for HOT, added: “HOT is proud to lead the world of homemade original productions and to be a pioneer in original productions for VOD. The VOD world is important and significant among young audiences and HOT will keep on leading the investment in original content for children. We consider Split to be an important asset in strengthening our offering to children on HOT, specifically on HOT VOD.”
