DOC to Broadcast Cinema Eye Honors

NASHVILLE: The Documentary Channel (DOC) is to become the first network to broadcast the Cinema Eye Honors, which recognize excellence in artistic achievements in non-fiction filmmaking.

The fourth annual awards ceremony will be recorded January 18 at New York’s Museum of the Moving Image. It will then be presented by DOC on a tape-delayed basis in prime time on January 30 at 8 p.m.

Last Train Home by Canadian-Chinese filmmaker Lixin Fan scored seven nominations. With six nominations each are Janus Metz’s Danish war documentary Armadillo and British artist Bansky’s Exit Through the Gift Shop.
