DOC Puts Musicians Center Stage

NASHVILLE: Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night in June, SoundCheck on Documentary Channel (DOC) will present music titles that feature legendary musicians such as the Beastie Boys, The Ramones and many others.

A total of 29 films are slated for the new SoundCheck programming event, including ten new film premieres. The lineup will also include guest appearances by B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt and Carlos Sanata, among others.

As part of this music event, Awesome: I… Shot That! featuring the Beastie Boys, will air Friday, June 24, being made simultaneously available online and on DIRECTV and DISH Network VOD. Other Friday night premieres include Honeyboy and the History of the Blues, John Lee Hooker: That’s My Story and Ramones Raw. Saturday nights will see the debuts of You Weren’t There: A History of Chicago Punk 1977-1984, The Secret to a Happy Ending, Hey Dillon: The Last Great DJ, XIT: Without Reservation and Thievery Corporation: Live at 9:30.
