DNA Launches in Germany

MONTREAL: Distraction’s game-show format DNA recently made its German debut on WDR, notching up a 7.6-percent share in its 9 p.m. time slot.

Tresor TV produced the series, which features contestants matching parent/child couples before moving on to a final round where the correct siblings must be added to the family. Originally from Europroducciones/RTI Mediaset, DNA has been sold in several territories, including the U.S. and Scandinavia.

Distraction’s VP of European sales, Barbara Vallant, commented: "The brilliant ratings prove how successful Tresor has been in adapting DNA to appeal to the German market."
