Distraction Sells Dirty Rotten Cheater into China

MONTREAL, March 28:
Distraction has secured its first deal in China with the sale of the game show Dirty
Rotten Cheater
to Beijing New
Century Media.

The high-tension game
show, created by Jonathan Goodson Productions, is already a hit in the U.S.,
and has also recently aired in the U.K. on the BBC as well as in numerous other
territories, including Italy’s Canale 5, India’s STAR, TBS in Japan, France’s
F2, Telemadrid in Spain and HTV’s Vietnam.

Dirty Rotten Cheater watches six players compete, guessing the answers
to a series of survey-style questions. The answers are worth more money the
less obvious they are. The catch is that there’s a cheater among them being
told all the answers, and its up to the rest of the contestants to expose who
it is.

Michel Rodrigue, the
president of Distraction, commented: “We are glad to expose this great
game-show format to the Chinese market. We have a lot more ongoing deals in
China and we hope that Dirty Rotten Cheater paves the way for further success in this
territory.”
