Distraction Secures New Agreements for Game Shows

MONTREAL, March 18:
Distraction Formats has scored new deals for its game shows Trade Up and DNA,
which both received nominations in the Best Game Show category at the 48th Rose
D’or Festival.

Trade Up was recently picked up in the U.K., through Tiger
Aspect, and in the U.S. by the IMG Group, as well as in Spain by Zebra Producciones.
Furthermore, the hit game show has also just been signed for a second season in
Canada. The high-tension game show is set in four rounds, where contestants
must choose between 30 chips, each of which represent a different amount
depending on the round. Contestants must maintain the largest amount of money
to make it through each round, while stealing each other’s chips and answering
trivia questions.

DNA has recently been picked up in the U.S. by Newline,
and is expected to continue further sales. The game show watches contestants
attempt to match parents with their children, before getting the chance to play
in the grand finale. In the final round, contestants must compete with a third
family member of the last couple matched, with five new people coming to the
stage but only one being the real relative of the pair.
