Distraction Brings Hidden-Camera Reality Format to the U.S.

LONDON, April 5: Distraction has announced that Cosgrove
Muerer Productions will develop an American version of Man Maid, a hidden-camera reality format that originated in
Italy.

The series was originally produced by Polivideo and first
aired in Italy on Foxlife in 2005. It was launched as a format by Distraction
at MIPCOM 2006. In it, beautiful and successful career women place a classified
ad looking for the perfect man to cook and clean and maybe do a little more.
The applicants are unaware that they are being filmed during the job interview.
The format was nominated in the Reality category at the 2006 Rose D’Or Awards.

Cosgrove Muerer is also developing another Distraction
reality format, TV Diaries, which was
originally produced in Italy by Magnolia and has been licensed into 10
territories including the U.K., Russia, Denmark, Poland, Middle East, Serbia
and Australia.

Cosgrove Meurer Productions, led by partners John Cosgrove
and Terry Meurer, has produced over 350 hours of prime-time programs on the
major television networks in the U.S., including the six-time Emmy-nominated
series Unsolved Mysteries.
