LONDON: The Walt Disney Company’s TV group has picked up CAKE’s Oscar’s Oasis for select Disney XD and Disney Channel feeds, while Poppy Cat heads to Disney Junior in Spain and Latin America.

The 78×7-minute 3D animated comedy Oscar’s Oasis will air on Disney XD in India, Japan and Benelux, as well as on Disney Channel in Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand. CAKE has also sold the 52×11-minute preschool show Poppy Cat for broadcast on Disney Junior in Spain and Latin America. Oscar’s Oasis is a co-production between Tuba Entertainment, TeamTO and CAKE. Poppy Cat is produced by Coolabi Productions and King Rollo Films.

Ed Galton, the CCO and managing director of CAKE, said: “Both properties are excellent examples of high-quality kids’ animated series that fit in perfectly with the type of content Disney Channels show. It is great to be able to reinforce our relationship with Disney with these programs and we look forward to working with them on future projects.”
