Disney Channel Hails Record-Breaking Ratings for 2006

BURBANK, December 14: Disney Channel ranks as the second
most-watched basic cable network in prime time in the U.S. for 2006, topping
third-place TNT by 6 percent, the kids’ network has announced.

Disney ends the year as the number one cable network in prime
time for kids aged 6 to 11, for the fourth year in a row, and number one for
tweens 9 to 14, for six years in a row.

On a 24-hour programming basis, Disney Channel finished 2006
as basic cable’s number one network in kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14, defeating
Nick/Nick-at-Nite by 5 percent and 11 percent respectively.

This year was also Disney Channel’s most-watched year of all
time in prime in total viewers (2.54 million), kids 6-11 (1.06 million), girls
6-11 (690,000), tweens 9-14 (930,000) and tween girls (601,000). 2006 also stands as the network’s
most-watched year on record in boys 6-11 (370,000) and tween boys (329,000).
